Los Tem­pera­men­tos pre­miere their new con­cert pro­gram

Igua­nas, par­rots, snakes and vul­tures pro­vide the frame­work for the ensemble’s new pro­gram, which is all about baroque
os­ti­natos, dances and elab­o­rate vari­a­tions as­so­ci­at­ed with the an­i­mal king­dom. Whether the works, most of which have been hand­ed down oral­ly, en­cour­age ec­sta­t­ic dance, tell of every­day vil­lage life or sing about the beloved ‘Dove’; They are all part of the mu­si­cal pil­lars of a liv­ing cul­ture.
Every child in Mex­i­co can whis­tle along to a song like “Los Pol­los” (the chick­ens) as we know a nurs­ery rhyme such as the Ger­man “All my duck­lings”…

For the first time, arrange­ments and com­po­si­tions by the Mex­i­can-born singer Jorge Mar­tinez will be heard in this pro­gram along­side the arrange­ments of our artis­tic di­rec­tor N. Cortés Garzón.
On the pre­miere week­end Los Tem­pera­men­tos will tour the monastery church in Vech­ta, the Ear­ly Mu­sic Days in Georgs­marien­hütte and their adopt­ed home of Bre­men.
